During the summer hols, my brother treated us to an afternoon out in Brighton which included waffles and ice creams in the brand new Artbox Cafe. The cafe is on East Street very close to the sea front and it is currently Pusheen themed.
We parked by the train station and walked into town and had a good look around the shops before heading to the cafe. It does get very busy, being new and very cool, with it's mint green and pink exterior - the cafe is on two floors. The ground floor selling ice creams, drinks and cute goodies like plush teddies, stationary and bits and bobs.
The cafe is upstairs, the theme will continue to change throughout the year - currently as I mentioned it is Pusheen.
We walked in and booked a slot for 3pm, you will have to book so best to turn up early - upstairs was spacious and not crowded - the decor is super kawaii cute. The kids chose a drink each, they do some great mocktails and also nice teas, we the recommend white chocolate and chilli tea.
I wasn't sure how we would manage the food, the portions are generous. The kids both wanted ice cream sundaes and there were plenty to choose from. The ice cream is all made there and there are vegan options too. Sundaes are all under £10.
We both went for waffles - Paul had the Pizza Parody with fresh fruit and my one was pretty epic with candy floss, ice cream, marshmallows, white chocolate sauce and sprinkles. The waffles are also made fresh in the kitchen. The presentation is amazing!
The food was delicious and Shannon would love to go again on her birthday. I think pictures say it better than words, so here you go........
Brighton street art!
This was rose ice cream!
Being in the heart of Brighton you are very close to the pier and the Sealife Centre too. This is one to watch for sure and I can't wait to see how the themes change.
