Four months of #ExplorerKids - wow! I have severe travel envy. It's been a busy weekend for us and we haven't had a chance to go out exploring. I feel like I'm also having a great geography lesson though - learning about lots of new places.
#ExplorerKids is an Instagram community which I run with Su from Ethan and Evelyn. It's a place to share all your wonderful images of children adventuring, exploring and on their travels.
Each Tuesday, Su and I both choose four favourites to feature on social media and on our blogs. You can follow me @kippersandcurtains and Su @ethannevelyn.
Absolutely anybody can join in, you don't need a fancy camera, just tag #ExplorerKids on Instagram, we will give your pictures a like and follow.
My favourites this week are:
Top left: @campfiresandkids - an old dock at a First Nations camp on Ten Mile Point at the entrance to Tagish Lake in Yukon. Look at that calm clear water and those mountains. I am extremely jealous!
Top right: @kristaannesutton - what a stunning picture taken at Bishop's Peak, San Luis Obispo, California. Bishop Peak is a 1,546-foot volcanic plug in SLO County.
Bottom left: @nomadyogafamily - Amazing. Tumalo Falls, Bend, Oregon. Tumalo Falls is a hiking trail leading up to the top of a 97-ft. tall waterfall in Deschutes National Forest.
Bottom right: @vaichin - "And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair" - Kahlil Gibran. This beautiful picture was taken at Lake Windermere in Cumbria, UK.
Please give these amazing accounts a follow - all of them are very inspiring.
Also visit Ethan and Evelyn to see Su's choices.
Please keep tagging and sharing your beautiful photos with us.
