Ahhhhh - the freedom of the road. Thanks to a little helping hand, we now have our car back on the road.
We have been unable to use our car for many months due to lack of funds to keep it running. I personally don't drive, but it is so lovely to know that at the weekends we can now go exploring a bit further afield again.
I had this Tuesday off work, so we surprised the girls by picking them up from school and took a drive into Limpsfield to have a swing and a stroll around the woods (we park in High Chart car park).
Look at this tree!
We spent quite a lot of time last summer swinging on this lovely old tree. It seems to have been powder paint bombed and it looks quite magical.
We also found some wood sorrel - which is edible, it tastes a lot like apple peel.
On our route through the woods we also stumbled upon a beautiful rapeseed field.
Whilst the kids were at school yesterday we took advantage of the amazing sunshine and went for a walk along the North Downs Way.
Bluebells everywhere - and a walk under the yew trees with the sun beaming down was so peaceful.
With the forecast set to be hot this weekend we are planning a day exploring the river Eden and then Frensham Ponds.
